Entrepreneurial Inspiration

Today I had the opportunity to join in a group in the East Roger's Park neighborhood full of bright young individuals who came to an event to learn about business and sustainability. I was inspired to see these people looking to be leaders, and entrepreneurs. Sustainability is on their mind, and it makes me happy that I chose this route in my life.

It's been a serious struggle to make this real. I've had a lot of people tell me that it is going to be a trend and it will pass, but being forward thinking and innovative is what green real estate is to me. I sometimes lose sight of the dream or the goal.

My goal was to love my job, to make a difference for the world, and to actually care everyday that I go to work. It's exciting and scary and challenging all at the same time. I needed nights like tonight, where I meet young men and women who are thinking about change, and that there has to be other ways of doing things. I agree and that's why I am here.

So why do I do this?

I do this for you. You being that guy that rides the bus even though he can drive. You who recycles when it's a real pain in the ass. You who rides their bike in the cold. For the family that drives the prius and plays in the park. I do this for you, because all of you inspire me to try harder and do better. I do this for those young entrepreneurs that believe they can make a difference and still be strong business leaders. That's what I wanted to be when I grew up.
